Hey folks. So I incorporated advertisements into the site. They aren't too intrusive, so I think they will be staying. I'm not trying to make a huge profit from the site, but enough to cover hosting/phone costs would be nice.

Made some improvements to the site, including the Rating pages. A call now needs at least three votes to show up on the page. That will prevent calls with one vote of 5 from rating better then a call with 5 votes and a total score of 4.

The "Today's Topic" idea is working alright, I think it may stay. I heard some funny Michael Jackson calls, thanks for contributing everyone. Make sure to tag any 'topic' calls with the appropriate tag, so that they don't get lost.

As of writing, there have been 3909 calls and 261,311 downloads!

Another day, another thousand useless calls :) (...and a few funny ones) . Upon writing, there have been 2178 calls and 149,123 downloads! Thanks to all those who are spreading the word about the site.

I tweaked the navigation a little. If anyone has any comments or suggestions, please feel free to email me.

I think I may need to add some advertisements to the site in order to pay for the hosting and phone-service costs. Not to worry though, I hate intrusive ads (ie: popups) as much as everyone else. I will probably just stick to basic text-links..hope you all don't mind.

The 'Topic of the Day' thing is an idea that someone suggested (thanks Jerome). It's worth a try, although I have a feeling people prefer to scream or burp into the phone than discuss anything.

Traffic and calls are really starting to pick up. As of writing this, there have been 79584 downloads of 1254 calls..not too shabby for a site that is just a few days old!

I was hoping to add some more features/improvements tonight, but didn't get around to it. Going to do that tomorrow, including: cleaning up the navigation, adding some tag features, and possibly adding comments.

Just so you know, the tag feature can actually be pretty useful. For example, if you want to leave messages to share amongst your friends, just add a unique tag (ie 'fsddsfj33') to all the calls. Then you and your friends can listen to all the calls by going to http://www.dontcallthis.com/tag/fsddsfj33 - this makes it a lot easier to listen to all the calls, as they are easily lost on the front page.
